STEP 1

Download the zip for your system

Each zip has the installer, the PDF guide and a SHA256.txt file. Extract the zip before opening the installer.

Open the PDF guide

It comes inside the zip and walks you through the install, screen by screen. For now the guide is in Portuguese only; the English edition is on its way. The screenshots and the buttons it points to still make it easy to follow.

STEP 3

Request the unlock in the app

Click Request unlock and type the email you used for the purchase. During the trial, the request also opens when you click the Day X of 10 counter at the top of the window.

I check the purchase on Hotmart and approve it by hand, usually within a few hours. The app unlocks itself, with no code to type.

Security warning on Mac and Windows

On first launch, the Mac says it could not verify the app, and Windows shows a blue screen.

This is normal, it is not a virus. It shows up for every program from an independent developer. The guide shows how to allow it in a few clicks.

What changed

Version 6.2.0, the newest
  • Unlock with your purchase email. You type the purchase email in the app, I check it and approve it, and the app unlocks itself, for good on that computer. No more code to type or to lose.
  • You can request the unlock without waiting for the trial to end: just click the day counter at the top of the window.
  • WhatsApp links on websites open in SplitChat. The app shows the number and the ready-made message and asks which account to open it in. You can turn this off in Settings, General.

  • Fixed: the activation was lost when the Mac renamed itself on the network.

  • Fixed: the song title scrolled once and then stopped for good. Now it cycles like a car radio: rests at the start, runs to the end, rests at the end, and starts again.
  • The player became a radio display at the top of the window. A green screen with the song and the artist, with previous, pause and next beside it.
  • Fixed: the player said "nothing playing" while Spotify was playing.

  • A real music player, built like a stereo. The icon at the top of the window opens a panel with a display, the time running, a title that scrolls by itself, a time bar you can click to jump, volume, and previous, pause and next. It works with Spotify installed and with Apple Music, with no sign up at all.
  • A shortcut to switch platform in each pane's bar. A discreet icon flips that pane between WhatsApp and Telegram, without going through Settings. Nothing is lost: each account keeps both logins separately.
  • Fixed: the player could not talk to Apple Music. The script died before running because of a name clash with the program's dictionary. Now tested end to end with music actually playing.

  • Fixed, and this was the worst one: the auto reply typed into your message box while you were writing. Now, while there is any sign that you are using the pane, it does not touch the screen. And before writing, it checks that the open conversation really is the customer's.
  • The secretary. The auto reply got a name and a knowledge base: you write everything she needs to be able to answer, and that is all she is allowed to talk about. She never invents a price or a deadline, and hands the conversation to you in the cases you describe.
  • Fixed: the microphone and camera buttons did nothing. The app was using the old macOS Settings address, which opens no window at all from Ventura onwards.
  • Fixed: an internal message loop was slowing the app down. It was what swallowed the answer from the auto reply test.
  • The music mini player learned to look in the right place, and now works with Apple Music too.
  • Support and Update now inside Settings too, as a tab.

  • Fixed: shortcuts showed up as a tiny dot, and a new shortcut vanished while it was being created.
  • The music player stopped asking you to sign up. No login, no key: it talks to the program already open on your machine.
  • Two new Settings tabs: My PIN and Permissions.
  • The auto reply is never silent again, and the test now explains why that answer came out.

How to update

Mac

  1. Download the Mac zip above and extract it.
  2. Open the file and drag the icon to the Applications folder, replacing the old one.
  3. Open it from Applications. Your accounts, notes and tags stay exactly where they were.

Windows

  1. Download the Windows zip above and extract it.
  2. Double-click it and follow the install, right over the old folder.
  3. Open it from your usual shortcut. Nothing changes in your accounts or notes.

Linux

  1. Download the Linux zip above and extract it.
  2. Give it execute permission (chmod +x) and swap it for the old file.
  3. Open it as usual. Everything you already set up stays right where it was.

Installing over the old version never disconnects your accounts and never erases a note or a tag. If you are coming from a version before 6.2.0, request the unlock once, with your purchase email.

New computer, or the unlock has not arrived?

New computer

Each purchase unlocks one computer. Get in touch and I move the unlock to the new machine.
